The booking document said I could pay by credit card, but the person in charge wouldn’t take one and asked for cash instead. I had to find an ATM and withdraw money for their convenience. That really wasn’t nice.

The rooms are built into ancient city walls and buildings, which gives the place a really distinctive feel. It’s nicely decorated, and the staff are friendly and make you breakfast each morning. Great stay.

We visited over Easter, when it was cold, though I imagine the place would stay pleasantly cool in summer. The breakfast had a nice range of choices, and Theo, the owner, chatted with us every day and gave friendly, sensible advice, including tips on local food. It’s a stylish little hotel in an interesting area with ancient ruins. Our comfortable room was small and spread over two levels. Highly recommended.

Mystic Hotel feels like a real pearl in Rhodes Town. The building has so much character, and the staff made us feel welcome. I had two marvelous days there 👍
