Sol Mare Salis

The staff were very friendly, and the decor and uncrowded guest area gave the hotel a pleasant atmosphere. It was generally quiet, aside from the planes. But the details let it down, and it felt quite overpriced. Booking prices were 10-20% cheaper when we got there. I'd suggest coming to Kamari and asking around different hotels to find one you like. It's a beautiful place for photos, though people passing by kept taking pictures of the hotel and us in it. Our biggest problem was the noise from the neighbors. For two nights we couldn't sleep because there were 6 (?) loud 18 year old boys next door. Contacting staff helped somewhat, but we'd specifically asked for a quiet room and picked a hotel farther from the city center. Why put us beside them? The room had a hard mattress and uncomfortably hard pillows. There were no "don't disturb" or "please clean" signs, and the balcony strings only held two towels. The shower couldn't be closed, so water covered the floor. I fell because the hotel slippers had no grip and badly hurt my head. The toilet was dirty and smelled, the remotes were gross, and there were floor stains and lots of dust. Some furniture looked very worn, including the door handles, doors, and sink. The view photos are old too, huge trees now block most of the sea.
