Veggera Hotel

Breakfast was excellent, dinner was tasty with generous portions and lots to choose from, and the reception staff were genuinely kind and helpful. Still, the hotel doesn’t deserve its current star rating. It has real potential, but needs more time and money spent on maintenance. The photos make it look much cleaner than it is. There’s mold on the bathroom ceiling, the room smells unpleasant because the fridge seems not to have been defrosted in ages, and paint is peeling off the pool. The pool shower is green and slimy, which gives an “eco vibe” that definitely doesn’t seem intentional. The hotel’s beach area is neglected and littered with cigarette butts and trash, and the sunbed mattresses are old and damaged and need replacing.

We came back to Veggera with our family for the second time in ten years. We visited in July 2025, four adults in a Maisonette. If you love the beach and sea, the location is perfect. Just keep in mind that the seabed can get slippery in summer because of its volcanic formation. John (Ioannis) at reception was especially friendly and helpful. He understood what we needed and arranged something really special for us))

I was surprised by what a great stay it was. The service, food and staff were all good, and the welcome was really nice. Everyone was kind and helped us with whatever we needed. John, one of the guides, gave us recommendations when we asked. Thanks for a wonderful stay. I really recommend it!

Perissa was even nicer than lovely Santorini, and the beach was great. Veggera had lovely pools and staff, and its location was excellent. The rooms were okay, somewhere in the middle, but there were no tea-making facilities in the room or at night. My main complaint was the food from the first night. Apart from that, it was so lovely, and I’d come back in a heartbeat, especially if John and the man at the pool bar were there.
