Al Mare Villas

We spent a lot of time on the big second-floor terraces, which had a superb view over the beach, especially at sunset. The villas are comfortable, airy, and reasonably priced, with kitchens for cooking. They're right by the beach, and there's a small supermarket and a bar nearby for food and drinks. The sand is lovely and the water stays shallow, so it's great for kids. There are lots of fish around the rocks on either side, easy to see through the crystal-clear water. One terrace could fit a whole family, or even everyone from both villas. Excellent choice.

Atspas beach is just a step away, and that's the only real plus for me. The place may have looked nice when it was first built, but now the property feels dated and wasn't clean. The first-floor bedroom has no window and smells bad. There were ants all over the bathroom, including on my kids' toothbrushes. When I told the owners, they just said, “but there are ants everywhere!” The terrace on that floor opens straight onto the road, which didn't feel safe for children. Upstairs, both the bedrooms and bathroom are tiny. They provide linen, but didn't change it during our week-long stay, and we had to buy toilet paper. The kitchen is equipped, but we even had to buy salt and pepper from the owner's shop next door. I wouldn't recommend this place.

The place was clean and well equipped, with a large terrace and a sea view. It's right beside the beach.

The owners were friendly, and the location by the chic, clean Atspas beach was lovely. My only gripe is that the bathrooms are a bit small.
