Helen's Studios & Apartments

We stayed seven nights this June. When booking, we saw a photo of a different studio that looked a little bigger, unfortunately. The bedroom and small kitchen were good, but the balcony was very narrow and the only table and chairs were outside. The toilet was small, and using the shower gets everything wet.

Helena, her family, and the staff made us feel welcome from the day we arrived right through to our last day. They work so hard and nothing seemed like too much trouble. It was our first stay at these apartments, but we’d gladly come back. If you’re after a lovely Greek experience, you won’t be disappointed. We were very sad to leave. Thank you! Mark and Sue.

The location is great for Skala, and the place is quiet apart from the barking dog downstairs. It woke me at 2 AM, along with people talking downstairs on the first floor. I was greeted in a friendly way on arrival, and the studio itself was spacious, though the bathroom was tiny. The shower curtain and small tray left barely any room to move. The rooms were cleaned well, but the cleaners threw away some kitchen cupboard items they assumed I wouldn’t need.

The welcome included a bottle of wine and a bottle of water, which I appreciated. It’s a good spot, a short walk from the central street and church, and also within walking distance of the beach. I booked a small studio and liked everything except the shower setup. It worked perfectly, with clean facilities, hot water, and good pressure, but there was no glass enclosure to stop water getting all over the bathroom.
