Almarossa Villas

The room was comfortable and clean, and the location worked perfectly for me. What made the stay especially lovely was the welcome from Alex and the woman at reception and the restaurant. They were both kind and attentive, and I felt well looked after. I’d happily recommend the hotel and would love to return.

The main frustration was the service. We had to request water every day, and received just one 500ml bottle each rather than having it replaced routinely. Body wash, tissues, and coffee pods also ran out because they weren’t checked, so we had to ask for more. Room servicing didn’t happen at the planned times and interrupted us when we were in, possibly because of a misunderstanding. There were few services available too, and we had to arrange our own in-villa massages. Breakfast was basic but sufficient, though not what I’d expect from “luxury villas.” The villa is beautiful and quieter than some areas, with nice sunrise views over the ocean, but powerlines spoil the view, and you can’t see it from the pool. I’d still prefer the caldera location. We chose this place partly for the heated private pool, but it felt closer to 20C than the stated 24C, cooler than the sea, and only usable during the hottest part of the day. We did appreciate being offered an early check-in.

The privacy and peaceful surroundings made this feel like a real sanctuary, and the villa was spotless and carefully maintained. It has sweeping beach views and a luxurious feel, with a recent renovation that brought in a lovely modern touch. We were taken with it as soon as we arrived. Thanks to the wonderful hosts. We can’t wait to come back for another stay!

George was friendly, helpful, and made everything easy. We had a trip of a lifetime, and when I’m back in Santorini I’ll be staying at Almarossa again. The place was spotless and felt fresh, and they brought us a lovely breakfast each morning. Well worth every cent.
