We travel internationally, so clean, comfortable beds really matter to us. The beds were very clean and comfy, which is why I give this 5 stars. Housekeeping came daily, and the hotel is smoke and pet free, so there were no smells. Our group of 6 found it great for families. The food was fresh, tasty, and had a good variety of options, without costing as much as at other hotels in the area. The kitchen has the basics and works well.

After we finally managed to fall asleep, loud traditional music from the breakfast hall woke us again at 6:00 AM. Before that, three different events were going on at once, including one on the patio right outside our room. At 12:30 AM the music was still extremely loud, and it felt like we were right in the middle of everything. Sleeping was impossible. We'd booked for one night before an early volcano hike and an outbound flight, so a quiet night mattered. We weren't told about any events when we booked, and when we asked to move, we were told there were no rooms available. They offered no other solution. A very disappointing stay for travelers who need rest before an early start.

The hotel is good, but we didn't like that the service staff played their own music at full volume, especially in the lobby. Guests want to relax there, not listen to whatever music staff choose. 🤨

There's no hot water. The staff kept saying they were working on it, but the water never came back. The hotel was also being renovated while still operating, and there was a strong paint smell in the hallways and rooms.

There’s plenty to do around this spot in the middle of the city, and the food is good. The big, clean room had working air conditioning, and service was available 24 hours.
