The food is the one weak point for me. My family is from Guyana, and what they serve doesn't count as local Guyanese cuisine to us. I think it's geared toward foreigners. Still, this is always a comfortable place to stay, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. If you're coming to Georgetown, this should definitely be your place.

The food, pool, and hot tubs are all excellent, and the staff are so friendly they'll go beyond what you expect. This property delivers everything you'd want from a top Marriott Bonvoy hotel, and more. You won't be disappointed with any part of the stay.

The Guyana Marriott is easily the best hotel around here, with gorgeous views and great amenities to explore. My family and I stay there every time I come to Guyana, and for good reason. It's right by the Seawall, with lovely views and good food, though service can occasionally be below par. If breakfast is included, don't miss it. The fruit is delicious!

The staff are very friendly, but service is extra slow. Some rooms are missing shower curtain hooks, short on restocked shower items, or have AC that works inconsistently depending on the room. The bathroom walls in the lobby need serious repairs, and the hotel could use fresh paint. Its condition has gone downhill from 2020 to now. Even with all that, it's one of the best hotels in Guyana. Just be ready to pay a hefty price, double what the same standard would cost in the US, and don't expect much.
