The room was clean and peaceful, and better than I expected from the advertising. Staff were generally helpful, and the cleaning team was especially good. My main complaint was the shuttle driver. Our family of five, including two small kids, had lots of luggage from our flight. I understand the shuttle was full, but when we asked in Cantonese how to get a taxi, he didn’t answer. On another ride, he made my wife and me sit apart because our two-year-old was on our lap, enforcing one person per seat. I understand the rule, but he banged loudly on the window and pointed at us and our child angrily, which scared our toddler. If you don’t have young children or need the shuttle, I’d highly recommend the hotel.

The rooms are modern, stylish, clean, and comfortable, and there’s a restaurant. The free shuttle runs to and from Kwai Hing, the nearest MTR station, every 30 minutes. Central is far away, but the location still worked out nicely and the hotel was good value for money. Breakfast and complimentary bottled water aren’t provided, which was a major drawback.

We booked several rooms at Hotel Ease for a family reunion in Hong Kong. Our room was very spacious, and we had no problems during the stay. The shuttle to and from Kwai Hing was a big help. The one thing I missed in the bathroom was a bidet.

Clean, nice budget hotel, and the free shuttle to the MTR is very convenient. Just a heads-up, housekeeping still comes in even when you press “Do Not Disturb,” so keep your valuables safe.

The room on the 4th floor smelled like urine, so I was moved to the 10th floor, where it smelled the same. The room odor eased, but the smell came back from the refrigerator. There may be a problem with how the plumbing is routed. Garbage odors also linger outside the hotel.
