Ibis Hong Kong North Point

The location is the main plus, close to the MTR, ferry pier, and airport bus. Taking the ferry to Kowloon or Huang Hom was a very good experience. For the airport, turn right from the hotel, then left, continue straight, and turn left to reach the A12 bus, which goes directly there in under an hour. There’s another nearby airport bus that takes about 1.5 hours, so make sure you get the right one. My 9th-floor room had a nice sea view, but it was very small and had no soundproofing. I could hear people talking outside clearly. The hotel doesn’t provide bottled water or slippers. Breakfast was okay, nothing special, but not bad.

We had a nice stay at Ibis North Hong Kong, with a lovely water view from our room. The team were welcoming and helpful, and the location is excellent, right by the train station with shopping and restaurants nearby. The room really is tiny. We knew that before booking, so it wasn’t a surprise. The air-conditioning felt too powerful for such a small space and somehow caused a lot of moisture, so we had to leave it off. Apart from that, we had a good stay.

The service stood out most. Every staff member we dealt with was professional and helpful, and when I asked to change rooms around 10 p.m. because my wife felt uneasy on the 28th floor and couldn’t sleep, they moved us to the 9th floor right away. We’d arrived around 11 a.m. after checking out elsewhere and were also given early access to our room without any hassle. The first room was compact but had a spectacular view. The room we moved to was clean, with a comfortable bed, a fruit basket, and two cartons of water. An extra pillow arrived within minutes. There were some stains in the grout between the bathroom wall tiles, a small flaw in an otherwise well-kept room. One suggestion: two chairs would have been more comfortable for both of us than the one provided.

The hotel was clean and nicely placed close to the MTR station. Front desk staff were helpful and pleasant. Even with a double bed, the room was tiny, and a lot more clothes hooks would have helped.
