Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong

The staff made my first Hong Kong trip and anniversary memorable, even though my partner couldn’t come because of a work change. I’d booked a surprise weekend for us, but ended up staying alone. They still marked the occasion with lovely gifts, and everyone was kind and welcoming. Housekeeping was especially quick to help with the little issues I ran into, and Mr Kevin Lau deserves a special thanks for his attention. I’ve stayed at Mandarin Oriental Hotels in several Asian locations before, so choosing Mandarin Oriental here felt natural. I had a really pleasant stay and would happily return.

The service was so good I’d give this place 10 out of 10. Housekeeping especially went above and beyond, with a real eye for detail. I also enjoyed the clipper restaurant and oriental mandarin club. The room was nice, though it did feel a little dated, and my five-year-old loved the hotel too.

I really appreciated how thoughtful the evenings were, from the turndown service to the professional way requests were handled. Mr Sugar was a delight every time, always cheerful and friendly, and made the stay especially memorable. The spa was excellent too, thanks in large part to Trammy. At the Mandarin Club, Mr Aidi, Victoria, Alda, and the rest of the team made every visit feel warm and consistently well looked after. In-room dining was another bright spot, with Mr Ricky bringing a personal touch and plenty of charm. Everything ran smoothly from arrival onward. Mr David Lawrence greeted me, Mr Alan handled an easy airport transfer, and check-in was seamless. My room was ready beautifully, with a flower already waiting. A magical stay, and I’m looking forward to coming back.

We spent Lunar New Year in Hong Kong and had a really enjoyable stay. The room looked out over Victoria harbour, a great spot for watching the fireworks. Housekeeping was excellent, breakfast had a fantastic buffet, and we also liked the hotel cake shop.
