The Fleming

The room details and design were immaculate, and we were really pleased with our stay. They surprised us with an upgrade to an extra-large room, which gave us loads of space. Service was top-notch, too. The location worked perfectly for us. It’s tucked away from the busiest tourist spots but still right in the middle of everything. We’d definitely come back next time we’re in town.

A pleasant, stylish place to stay, with a reasonable price and a good feel throughout. The furnishings and interior had a quaint, chic look. Breakfast was adequate, and service was acceptable. It’s very close to Chai Wan MTR, with plenty of food around.

The bathroom was pleasant to use, especially the very large shower, and the staff were friendly. The room was cleaned daily. The room itself was unfortunately quite small, though, and once we opened our luggage there was hardly space to walk around. The hotel is in a nice spot, within walking distance of the metro and tram.

We found the stay okay. The room was comfortable, though it wasn’t spotless, and the staff were prompt and friendly. The location was convenient. The one thing that bothered us was the postcard purchase. My wife bought one, and it seemed as if the front desk gentleman was guessing at the price. He only said that two HK$20 bills should cover postage after she took them out. We wouldn’t have thought much of it otherwise, but at Hong Kong Disneyland we bought postcards with postage included for less than HK$40. Postage for postcards tends to be pretty stable around the world, so I don’t know why the employee appeared to be charging extra.
