V Inn

The rooms are absolutely tiny, and some things don’t always work, like the noisy air cons. For the price, though, it’s hard to complain. The location is great for a short Hong Kong visit, and a big thank you to MJ for making our stay so pleasant and being genuinely lovely.

I stayed for three nights and found it comfortable enough. The room was small, but clean and cool, and I slept well. The housekeeper, MJ, was friendly and helpful, cleaning the room every day without being asked. I arrived early in the morning, and they still let me check in. I’d contacted them on WhatsApp a few days before arriving. Getting around was easy since the hotel is close to the MTR station and airport bus stop. There’s also an old man beside the elevator access selling five bottles of water for 10 HKD. For a budget hotel in Hong Kong, especially around Tsim Sha Tsui, V Inn is worth considering. Keep your expectations realistic when travelling on a budget. It’s a nice place to stay.

Some people say it’s terrible because it’s in Chungking Mansion, but I was comfortable there. The room wasn’t spacious, though it was enough for one person. The woman was humble and informative, and spoke English well. The Wi-Fi was fair, and there was hot water, a hair dryer, and a fan.

The room is really small, so don’t expect much. For the price, I think it’s reasonable overall, but not a good fit for a family trip. The host didn’t respond to messages, which makes arranging luggage storage before or after check-in difficult. Check-in is in Block E, on the 16th floor.
