The lifts were a nightmare. They’re shared by about ten hotels, and are used to move rubbish bags and dirty dishes too. We waited around 45 minutes just to get up or down. The stairwell wasn’t any better, with cockroaches wandering around and vomit on the walls. It felt like a biohazard. I booked ten beds for my family for two nights, and it was the worst stay we’ve had. We would have rather slept on an airport bench. They charged another 250HKD at check-in, then lectured me for not reading the “fine print.” Most of the reception staff were rude and demanding, though the person who checked us in was nice. The rooms didn’t look like the photos, which the staff said were from when the place opened. In the four rooms we booked, only one had toilet paper. There were no toothbrushes, towels were missing at first, and when they arrived, they had visible stains. The rooms weren’t clean either. The bathrooms were gross, and one smelled like a boy’s locker room after a really intense training day. When I turned on the AC, cockroach legs came out. The water heater was so hot that we had to mix shower water with water from the sink to get somewhat clean. At least we got some trauma bonding out of it. A good lesson in which hotel we’ll never book again.

The room and the building entrance were very dirty. Insects bit me and I got irritated, and the bed was dirty too. There were no towels. People were using drugs around the entrance all the time, so the place didn’t feel safe. I don’t recommend it.

I paid $110usd for a lesson. The total I found through booking.com wasn’t the same as the price shown on the website. After reading comments online, I panicked and called to ask whether cancelling would mean another fee. It sounded like there were two or more staff members, and one was impatient. He said I wouldn’t have to pay an extra fee.

The ground floor was messy, with lots of rubbish from the shops, and the lifts were always full. The rooms are tiny, with two beds squeezed into one room, a compact bathroom, and almost no view. The receptionist told us the photos were from when the place first opened, and they look nothing like what you see in person. I wouldn’t recommend it if you want somewhere relaxing, secure, or spacious. It could work for someone on a very tight budget.
