The single rooms look nothing like the photos. I booked at 'Melbourne hostel' but was placed in 'Germany hostel'. At check-in they charged extra for cleaning and the key. The TV and air conditioning in my room didn't work, and there wasn't a shower towel. If you can spend a little more, I'd strongly suggest choosing a decent hotel instead. You'll thank yourself.

The room was small, as expected, but clean, and the bed was decent. The air conditioning blew cold, and wifi was included. Staff spoke English well, had excellent manners, and were extremely helpful. The lobby seemed questionable at night, but the area itself was safe. You get what you pay for, and at this price everything is minimal, which isn't a bad thing here. The location worked well: right by a train station, with a convenience store on the same block and a short walk to a spot overlooking the bay. I have no complaints. For this price, I'd be perfectly happy to stay here again.

This is basically a stand-in for "DHILLON HOTELS," without a physical presence of its own. The name appears alongside other hotel names on the elevator sign in Building E of Chungking Mansion. At check-in, your booking determines which of the "DHILLON HOTELS" hotels you're assigned to. It seems aimed at backpackers or people staying in XX. I'm in that group, and I had a comfortable stay. The facilities were decent for the price, though the room quality isn't top-notch. I wonder why it's arranged this way. It feels like they can change the name without changing the actual place. Either way, it's not a decent hotel.
