The Kimberley

The location in Tsim Sha Tsui is great, with lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Our newly renovated room was lovely, clean, and comfortable, with a modern look and thoughtful details that made it feel relaxing. I had a delightful stay at The Kimberley Hotel in Hong Kong.

The room was spacious enough for us to open three large suitcases and still move around comfortably. We had a newly renovated suite with a separate bedroom and living and dining area. My parents used the bedroom, while I slept on the sofa, which was surprisingly comfortable and a good fit for me. The bathroom had a separate tub and shower, which we appreciated. We arrived around noon and were pleasantly surprised to be allowed to check in early. The hotel is conveniently located near the airport bus stop, with plenty of nearby food options. There’s a famous goose restaurant across the street, a Hong Kong café with really good bread, and a 7-Eleven close by. A supermarket across the street made it easy to buy bottled water or toothbrushes, which aren't complimentary because of Hong Kong's plastic reduction rules. Check-in and checkout were quick and hassle-free. The nearest train station is about a 7-minute walk, which might be a little inconvenient for some. Our mini refrigerator didn't work. Maintenance came to look at it, but couldn't fix it during our stay. Overall, we had a pleasant time and appreciated the room size, convenient location, and smooth service.

The hotel is in the lively Tsim Sha Tsui area, with shopping streets, restaurants, and nearby MTR stations easy to reach. The rooms were clean, the service courteous, and the breakfast spread was good. A convenient and comfortable place to stay while exploring Hong Kong.

The location is very good, and the staff provide good service with a strong service-minded attitude. Housekeeping was especially helpful. When we asked for extra pillows and blankets, they brought them promptly. The property itself feels quite old, and the rooms are noticeably outdated. The bed wasn't very comfortable. I think improving the hotel would likely mean fully renovating all the rooms and changing the overall management structure.
