The cleaning staff were prompt, changed the towels regularly, and kept the room tidy. The hotel is affordable for the area and fairly close to the MTR, trams, and good restaurants. The place badly needs refurbishment. There were stained corners in the room, and the pillows looked worn out. I didn’t dare open their covers to see what was inside. Seeing clean towels left out in the open by the elevator, with some hanging out, wasn’t reassuring either. Reception wasn’t very helpful with local services, often just saying, “I don’t know.” I won’t dwell on the room size, since this is Hong Kong and the tight space was expected. Still, be careful with check-in luggage: anything over 25" leaves you without walking room. I don’t fault the hotel for that.

The room was clean and spacious, and the price and location made the stay satisfactory. It’s a little outside the busy tourist areas, which gave the neighborhood a nice feel. There are MTR, bus, and tram stations within walking distance, plus lots of food options and convenience stores nearby. The room was made up daily, and they let me store my bags for free before check-in or after checkout. They also put out simple bread for breakfast each morning and had coffee available 24/7. You do have to refill your own water, though. It would be nice to have refill stations on every floor.

The room’s cleanliness was a real letdown. I was genuinely shocked to find such a worn and damaged towel supplied for guests. It was an eye-opening experience, and not at all what I expected from a hotel. I only stayed one night in early December. The location was reasonably convenient, around a 10-minute walk from the metro with luggage, and there were plenty of places to eat nearby.

Housekeeping did a much better job in my view than the front desk. The night shift staff seemed quite reluctant to help when I had trouble reconnecting to Wi-Fi. I was told to go to the desk, but the female staff member who assisted me was dismissive, and I didn’t feel she was professional or willing to help. The Wi-Fi did get reconnected in the end, but her attitude had already affected my impression of the hotel. I was surprised to find similar experiences in reviews from about a month earlier. It makes me wonder why the hotel hadn’t improved the front desk service.
