It’s only $39/NIGHT, which is hard to believe with the great food, all the comforts of home, and the sound of the surf. Mike is the kind of accommodating host you hope to find at a family-run bed and breakfast in La Ceiba Honduras.

I haven’t been there myself, but if you’re going for Captain Mike’s hospitality, I’m sorry to say he has passed away. He died in early October and will be missed.

The owner was very friendly and pleasant, and speaks English. The room was clean and comfortable, with a nice view of the beach. It’s a quiet neighborhood, though access is along an unpaved road.
