The best part was not having to climb stairs to reach the apartment. Beyond that, it was the worst holiday rental I’ve had in Croatia. It was extremely noisy, and closing the windows and running the air conditioner did nothing to help. The apartment sits below street level beside a busy mini-highway and a bridge. The gas stove and washing machine were fairly new, but neither came with instructions for the washer, and everything else was old and should be thrown out. It felt like an easy cash cow for the owners.

The hosts were wonderful and happy to answer every question we had, and we can’t wait to come back. We felt at home in the apartment, which had everything we needed: a living room and bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a washing machine and a fridge. The location worked well too, with a supermarket and gas station about two minutes away on foot, and the Old Town around a 20-30 minute walk.

There were lots of mosquitoes, and the bathroom sink clogged on the first day. Apart from that, the apartment was very clean and quite spacious for three people.

The beach is very close, and the Old Town is about 1 km away.
