The cottage is well equipped, but the garden is neglected, and for that price I think better accommodation with better facilities is available. We paid €3,000 for the week. Using the small sauna and hot tub cost another €100 if you wanted them; the tub only has a couple of jets for the hydromassage. The owner is a con man. He tried to get us to bypass the booking, cancel it, and pay him cash in hand to save money. The deposit was the problem: we paid cash, and he said he’d return it at the end. On Friday he caused problems and then ran away instead of giving the money back. Bakar is a small village with no attractions for children or adults, so you have to drive everywhere. There may be two restaurants, one bar, and a few small shops. I wouldn’t recommend it for families with children based on the description on Booking. The cottage description says there are board games for children, PSP 4, and other things, but they weren’t there. There’s no pay TV such as Netflix, just standard regional and international channels.

Everything was clean and well maintained. Great accommodation, and an excellent landlord!
