The host had the room well prepared and was a great help with transport, things to do, and places to eat. We also enjoyed the breakfast. The location was great, easy to reach in the old town and close to everything, and having parking arranged with the host was so convenient. I’d recommend staying here and booking directly with the host.

Milka was a big help, and the place was very clean and private. The location is hard to beat. You can hear people in the rooms above and below through the thin walls, though. Still one of the best places to stay in Split.

The owners were kind and professional, and I wouldn’t choose anywhere else now. They made arriving by car easy: they sent us a map pin, met us, then parked the car on private land since the old town streets are too narrow to drive through. We could head off and explore without worrying about the car. The hotel is inside the palace walls, right in the center, and the rooms are airy and beautifully done. They also left thoughtful extras like maps, plug adapters and complimentary drinks. Breakfast came with a voucher for THE cafe/restaurant in the old square, with live music and a view of the cathedral. It’s a gorgeous boutique hotel.

Milka and Mladen made the stay feel personal, with great recommendations and such warm hosting. The hotel is right in the middle of the historic palace, in a beautiful old building they’ve turned into a thoughtfully designed little oasis. I can’t imagine a better base for exploring Split. Hope I can come back soon.

Sokol was easy to reach on WhatsApp whenever we had a question, and he pointed us to lots of good local places. Our room was spotless, with great air conditioning, and looked just as nice as the photos. The location is perfect. We’ll stay here again when we’re back in the near future.
