We stayed just one night before a small boat cruise, but this would be a good base for exploring Split for a few days. The hotel is right beside the Palace in the pedestrian area, and the little lanes nearby are packed with tempting restaurants and bars. The seafront promenade is only five minutes away. It's small and beautifully maintained, with traditional decor and comfortable, reasonably sized rooms that have what you need. The welcome was warm and helpful. Breakfast is simple but enough for us, with bread, spreads, and omelettes or scrambled eggs cooked to order. A very pleasant stay and excellent value.

Even though it's surrounded by tourists, the hotel feels surprisingly peaceful. Its location inside Diocletian’s Palace adds a special touch and makes it easy to enjoy the city centre. The train and bus stations are both less than a five-minute walk away. The staff were generally very friendly. I had to leave before breakfast one day, and they thoughtfully prepared a lunch box for me, which I really appreciated.

The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and breakfast was great. Staff were attentive too. A lovely hotel inside the palace, and I'd highly recommend it when you're in Split.

The service at Hotel Peristil is fantastic, and staying inside the palace gives you wonderful views. If you're looking for somewhere in Split, I'd definitely recommend considering Peristil.

I was travelling alone and spent four nights here. From the historic setting to the people working there, the stay was fantastic. The hotel sits within the old castle walls, right in the heart of Split, so it's easy to explore and has a really special atmosphere. What I'll remember most is the care from everyone, from the manager to the restaurant servers and cleaning team. They were kind, attentive, professional, and made sure I was comfortable. A special thank you to Vladimir, the manager. He's calm, gracious, thoughtful, and one of the kindest people I've met on my travels. He arranged anything I needed within hours, including laundry, and checked in personally each morning and evening. Since I often left early for excursions, he also prepared a bag with sandwiches, fruit, and snacks for me to take along. Such a small gesture, but it meant a lot. That attention made me feel truly welcome and looked after, not just like another guest. It's rare to find that kind of genuine kindness alongside such professionalism. The location, historic charm, and especially the people made this one of the best hotel experiences of my life. I'm very grateful for the warmth and hospitality, and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Split.
