I came here on someone’s recommendation and was very pleased with my stay. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the hostel owner was cheerful, clearly enjoyed his work, and was always available. It’s perfectly located in central Zagreb. I warmly recommend it.

The staff give genuinely great service, and the facilities are excellent, including a little terrace for smokers. This is one of my favourite hostels in Zagreb, and it’s well located too. I’d happily stay again anytime.

The hostel was so new and clean, probably the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in, and the host was very nice and knew the city incredibly well. A friend and I stopped here while passing through zagreb, and I wish the place all the success in the world. I’d highly recommend staying. My only suggestion is to advertise more. I found it from a chalked sign on the street, and couldn’t find it on any hostel websites. That’s a pity, since I book accommodation that way nine times out of ten.

The host was super nice and helpful, and the place was tidy and clean. We’d made a mistake with our booking and hadn’t reserved the night we arrived in Zagreb. We got in around 1am and were very lucky to find Old Lab. It was a lifesaver!

The owner was incredibly rude and kept switching off the air conditioning at night to save money. I had to ask him twice to turn it back on, which was so annoying. Also, this is an apartment on the third floor being used as a hostel, and the photos don’t match reality at all. There’s just one toilet and one shower. Don’t stay here.
