After I booked, a woman I didn't know called and threatened to cancel the reservation. She said we'd be “sleeping on the street” if we didn't cancel, even though the booking couldn't be refunded. Getting my money back meant a long process with booking.com. This felt like a complete scam. These hosts shouldn't be allowed to keep listing the place.

Our whole vacation was ruined by this. No one showed up to welcome us, and we were left without a place to stay in a foreign country. We were incredibly frustrated. The contact information the owner provided was wrong, so we couldn't get in touch with anyone, and the service was awful. This place should be blacklisted so nobody else has to go through what we did. It felt like a scam. I'd give zero stars if that were an option.

Ants and mosquitoes were getting inside, and one blanket had a bloodstain. The windows didn't shut properly either. We also couldn't use the shower without a curtain, and half the bulbs were out. The oven looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in years, and there were no oven trays, so we had to cook a pizza in a milk pan. It wasn't very peaceful. Other than all that, it was great.

The place was shabby and had quite a few problems. Üteg utca is apparently only the office address, since we ended up staying on Lehel utca. In the bathroom there were tiny ants, the bath plug was missing, and the showerhead holder was broken. The lightbulbs were out too. There was a TV but no channels, and a DVD player with no cable. In the kitchen, don't expect a sharp knife. Cleanliness was so-so, and I wouldn't want to stay here long.

It felt clean, cozy, and like home. I liked everything and would recommend it to anyone.
