Artist Guest House

I booked an apartment for a short stay and asked to move my dates. Changing them without an extra charge had been offered when I booked, and they said my proposed dates were available, with no problem. Then, four days before the stay, they told me the apartment wasn't available for two-thirds of my nights. They did offer a free cancellation and refund. Make sure to double-check with them.

For what it costs, the place felt clean and was okay, though nothing special. The location worked well. I’d say it’s best for one or two nights, and still reasonable for a stay of up to three. The bathroom really needs updating.

We left in under two hours. There were bugs crawling around the bed, making it impossible to sleep, and the rooms and bathrooms were dirty. The sheets had urine stains. Other guests were taking drugs in the living room, and because check-in was self-service, the property couldn’t do anything about it. My door wouldn’t lock from inside; you had to force it from outside, so it couldn’t be secured while I was in the room. They refused a refund, and I’ll take the matter to SOLVIT. Absolutely not recommended.

The rooms are sturdy and have high ceilings, and the views are nice. The location is good too. Bathrooms were fine, as was the small food area with its shared fridge.
