Whenever I travel to Budapest, Economy Apartments is the first place I check. The price is good even in high season, and the location is great, close to the ruin bars. The rooms are small, but clean and cozy.

The room had a fun layout, with the bed up on top of the bathroom block and reached by stairs. There was also a small kitchenette and table, a closet, and a nice bathroom. The bathroom was clean and I had no hygiene complaints, though the toilet seat was partly broken and hurt to sit on. Picking up the keys at another hotel wasn’t a problem for me since it was only two streets away. Check-out was easy: leave the keys on the table and close the door. I found this place while planning my Budapest visit and wasn’t disappointed. For a very reasonable price, I think it’s one of the best private rooms you can get. I’d stay again and definitely recommend it.

There were lots of lights that gave the place a nice atmosphere, and the design was beautiful, including a second floor for the bedroom. The apartments were really clean. The kitchen had plates, glasses, and mugs, and there was a hair dryer and air conditioner too. The location is great, right by the Synagogues and a Spar grocery store. We had one of our best stays there. Sound isolation could be better, but it didn’t bother us because we had nice neighbors.

The bed was really comfortable, and the rooms were compact and clean. It’s in the Jewish quarter, with plenty of cafes, bars, and restaurants nearby. There was a party in one of the other apartments on my first night, but the locals quickly got it stopped. The room got very warm because there was no air conditioning remote. I never got an email telling me where to collect the keys, but one quick phone call sorted that out. Shower gel and shampoo would have earned another star.

The air conditioning showed an E7 error and wouldn’t work, and the room was much smaller than it looked in the photos. A notice said the property accepts no responsibility for lost or stolen belongings. Maybe that’s standard, but calling it out made me worry about security, especially with a wooden door that didn’t look very secure. As the name suggests, it’s economical, and that’s about all.
