Europa Centerpoint Guesthouse

The metro is right outside the guesthouse, making it easy to get around the city. Staff were polite and responsive, and the self check-in instructions were clear, so arriving was smooth. They also let us check in earlier and leave later than usual, which was kind. I stayed at Europa Centerpoint guesthouse in Budapest for three days and had a pleasant experience overall. The room looked clean, but it clearly needs renovation, especially the slightly broken bathtub. With some refurbishment, it could be an ideal place to stay.

This was a last-minute rescue. I booked it the morning of an overnight bus to Prague, when I realized I needed a room for the day between checking out of my previous apartment and catching the bus that night. They accommodated my early check-in request and gave us a good room. The AC worked well, and the triple-glazed windows kept the room quiet. The rooms are thoughtfully old-fashioned, but good for an overnight stay.

For a budget stay in Budapest, this is the best place! I’ve been twice. Both times I booked a few weeks ahead, and it was super cheap. It’s right in the middle of the city, about a 15-minute walk from the basilika, with a short bus ride to other places. There are lots of good coffee shops nearby for breakfast. The staff were very nice, and room service was fine, with towels changed. For these prices, I didn’t expect anything more. The room was clean, and they gave us wine on the house. People who complain forget how cheap it is for such a great location. I wish they’d open more places in other European towns :)

The staff were friendly, and our rooms were clean. There are great places to eat nearby, and Budapest nightlife is just a few steps away. We arrived at 3 o’clock, and it was easy to get here from the airport. Tram, subway, and bus stops are all close by. Perfect location. If I return to Budapest, I’ll only stay here.
