The owner is a lovely woman who does her best to help when you have a problem. The room was a good size for two, with free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a TV with English channels, all at a very reasonable price. There’s a grocery shop around the corner, and the quiet neighborhood has plenty of restaurants. Many attractions, including the Danube, St. Stephen's Basilica, and Parliament, are within a reasonable walk. The building has a lift too. I’d definitely choose this over some of the larger hotels or B&Bs in Budapest.

The room was clean and quite nice, with a mostly IKEA feel. It had all the basics for cooking for yourself, including a stove, dishes and pots, coffee maker, kettle, and even sugar. The location is ideal, close to the Danube and the main sights on this side, and the price for what you get is excellent. A couple of drawbacks: there was no window, and the only toiletries were liquid soap by the sink, with no shampoo or shower gel. Finding the building took some effort too, since there’s no sign and the entrance is tucked between restaurant entrances.

Getting checked in was a hassle. We had to wait, search for the keys, and make calls back and forth, with renovation work going on all around. Once inside, though, the apartment was clean, quiet, comfortable, and had what we needed. The location was good, but our room had no window.

This family-run guesthouse was comfortable and had all the facilities we needed, whether traveling alone or with family. The Italian restaurant downstairs was great too.
