NH Collection Budapest City Center

The rooms at NH Collection are clean and bright, and the kitchen includes a dishwasher, microwave, and oven. Breakfast is a real highlight, with tasty breads, fresh vegetables, assorted fruit, and a wide choice of juices made fresh each day. All the staff are friendly. Ms. Bence Judit, who oversees breakfast, is especially kind and makes the meal a delightful experience.

The hotel is right in the center of Budapest and offers great value for money, with excellent underground parking. The rooms are larger than what you usually find and fully equipped. Hospitality was outstanding, and the staff, including the receptionists, were very kind and polite. It has everything you could need, and I can highly recommend it.

The apartment-style setup was the best part of our stay at NH Budapest. We had two big balconies, plus a living room, kitchen stocked with pots and pans, dining space, an upstairs bedroom, and even a washer with a large drying rack. It was much better than we expected, and a lovely place to unwind after a disappointing hotel in Prague. The location worked well and the staff were helpful. As hotel guests, we could also visit the New York Cafe. NH Budapest is attached to the Anantara Hotel, and we’d happily stay here again in Budapest.

The best part was leaving. This was a horrible stay, and I wouldn’t rate it anywhere near four stars, barely two. My room was worn out, with broken furniture, and the cleaning was poor. They called the Friday and Monday visits “deep cleaning,” but they didn’t feel deep at all. The central heating wasn’t working; I had to call twice before someone came to fix it. Basic things were sometimes missing, including sugar, coffee, water, and even toilet paper. The washer was right beside the toilet, which was really uncomfortable, and the bed was two single beds pushed together on wheels, also uncomfortable. Cleaners and maintenance staff didn’t speak English, so it was hard to explain things, especially to the cleaners. Breakfast was the same each day. The hot choices were scrambled eggs and sausages or bacon; the ham, cheese, pastries, and juices were okay. I’m sorry, but this was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.
