Pals Mini Hostel

Pal Mini Hostel is in a great, convenient location, but the room wasn't soundproof at all and was pretty noisy. The showerhead in our bathroom was broken too. The price felt a bit high for what we got, though maybe that's because we stayed over New Year’s.

I had a really pleasant stay. The hostel was peaceful and quiet, and my private room was comfortable and spotless. The bedding was super clean, and the room smelled strongly of laundry. I always check for bugs with a bright light because of past bad experiences, and this room passed. There are two women's showers, and I never had to wait for a shower or toilet, though I'm not sure how many people were staying. Someone comes in daily to clean the shared areas. Staff usually aren't on site, but they're very accommodating over text. I arrived super late after missing my bus, then the next bus got stuck at the border for 5 hours. They sent me a WhatsApp message with videos showing how to get in and really good instructions.

We were happy with our stay, thanks. The room and bathrooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. Since it was off-season, only two rooms were occupied and we didn't have any noise issues. When my two friends and I first arrived, nobody was at reception, but the owner explained the check-in process over the phone. I recommend it.

The place felt homely, with high ceilings, a good shower, a clean toilet, and a kitchen with everything we needed. It's in a great location with a beautiful view. Everything was clean, with very few carpets, so hopefully fewer parasites. All the laundry smelled freshly washed, and they'd done a full wet clean before we arrived. I'd be happy to come back.
