The balcony had an amazing view over Budapest, from the Citadel and cathedrals to the distinctive red rooftops. The room was quiet and clean, and I felt safe there. Rooftop Residence is on the sixth and top floor, with open terraces, flowers, and places to sit and relax. It’s within walking distance of Railway and CentralPark, and the fast internet worked well for remote work. Breakfast was varied, wholesome, and good. I’d happily recommend the hotel.

The location was excellent, and breakfast offered some variety. Still, a few things kept this from being a great stay. The first room, number 14, was much too small and didn’t match what was shown on booking.com. Room 20, where we moved, was excellent, but its bed didn’t have a proper double mattress, so there was a gap down the middle. We stayed for seven days, and the cleaning seemed very limited. The sheets weren’t changed once, and the room wasn’t swept, or at least it didn’t look like it. Some staff also struggled to communicate in English. It was a good experience, just short of great.

The city is easy to reach, with Keleti station and the Metro about a five-minute walk away. There’s also a lovely park nearby, and Vajdahunyad Castle and Széchenyi Baths are walkable. Our rooms were clean and regularly serviced, and the staff were very pleasant. Breakfast had plenty of variety, too. We were very satisfied with the accommodation and service for the reasonable price, and I’d definitely recommend it.

A convenient base with good transport links, and the balcony view was lovely. Our room was clean, and we even got a free upgrade. Breakfast was filling and had a good range of choices. A nice option for a couple of nights.
