The area is great, close to the central market, with lots of restaurants and a nice bridge. We did have a bad experience nearby, but it didn't spoil the trip. Be careful around the ATM by Burger King. A large English-speaking man who said he was a taxi driver offered to exchange money without a fee. We took him up on it, which was stupid, and the money turned out to be no good. Even the exchange lady had a little sign warning people not to exchange with the man behind the wall. Wish we'd known.

A pleasant little square with trees and shaded spots where you can sit and cool off on a hot day. It's right across from the main market building. Keep an eye out for skateboarders as you walk through.

Fővám tér is an easy place to reach, with metro, tram, and bus connections making it a useful transport hub. It sits beside the Danube, right at the entrance to the Great Market Hall, where you can browse for local food or souvenirs and stop for a coffee at one of the nearby cafés. The square has a lively feel, with shops and historic buildings around it. You can also get lovely views of the Liberty Bridge and river, so it's a nice spot for photos while exploring Budapest.

People come here for the square's good atmosphere, and there's a great market too, full of all sorts of fun things to browse. If you enjoy shopping and nice places, you'll have a good time here.

A bustling park in a beautiful big city setting, just across from Central Market and a few steps from Liberty Bridge. There are places to sit and a playground all around.
