By 10 pm it was still 35°C, but we couldn't get any air into the room: opening the balcony door or bathroom window meant bugs could come in, since neither had insect screens. We woke to insects in the room and even in the shower. The little propeller fan they call air conditioning did nothing against the greenhouse-like heat. The rooms are on the top floor of a privately owned house. When we arrived, we were told the retired owner goes to bed at 10 pm, the entrance door can only be opened from inside, and we had to be back by 9 pm if we wanted to go out, including for the few hours we planned to spend in Budapest.

The garden up on the hill has an incredible view. The house itself is clean, traditional and well kept, and the couple running it are friendly and work hard. The service is good value.

We stayed here during Formula 1 weekend, and getting to the circuit was easy: cycling to the station and taking the train worked perfectly. It's clean and quiet, and there's no breakfast; the pool wasn't available either. The room gets really hot in summer without air conditioning. Beds were bad, the bathroom looked very dated, and the owner was bad-tempered. You have to be back inside before 10 pm or he gets angry. It's a cheap hotel, but there's not much else to recommend it.

A warm, welcoming family-run place where it's easy to relax and get away from city noise. The air is good and things you might need are nearby, like a restaurant, convenience store, bakery, pharmacy and tobacco shop. I can happily recommend it.

I slept so well because the bed was really comfortable. The owners were kind and attentive, listened to everything I asked for and helped me out. The accommodation was great, and I'd recommend it to anyone. Thanks for having me.
