Csalogány Apartman

I booked the apartment by phone in February for a group coming to a bachelor party in April. In March I had to call again because it was still listed as freely bookable on szallas.hu. We agreed at the end of that call to speak again one or two days before arrival. During one of the first calls, I specifically asked whether a phone booking required a deposit or reservation fee. I was told they’d ask the owner. I never heard anything after that by phone or email, and checked all my folders, including spam. Two days before we were due to arrive, I called. The apartment manager said the reservation wasn’t valid because we hadn’t paid a deposit, and the owner didn’t want to rent to us for that reason. He said he’d try to find other accommodation and get back to me. I’ve been waiting ever since, and of course he never answered the phone. The manager, who introduced himself as Dobos, is completely incompetent. If he didn’t want to host a bachelor party, he could have said so when I mentioned it directly. In that case, he’s just spineless. Dear István Dobos, since I spoke to a man throughout and not you, you couldn’t have given me ambiguous information. And it doesn’t matter whether you call it a deposit, reservation fee, or something else if you never send any details about it by email, phone, carrier pigeon, smoke signal, or anything. I asked about it, you said you’d ask the owner, and I never heard anything. I called two days before arrival, on Thursday, not the day before. You hadn’t sent anything earlier, but then you were no longer willing to accept the booking, even though I said I’d pay within minutes if you finally sent the details. We ended the Thursday evening call with the man, not you. He said he’d ask about a villa near the Czifra Motel and call me back. We wouldn’t seriously have wanted a motel for a bachelor party, and I never got any update about whether the villa was arranged. Why should I have called the motel myself? You don’t need to reply to that last point. You haven’t given a logical explanation for what I’ve written so far, just lies or completely meaningless things. P.S. We did find somewhere to stay. Since it was a stag party, we paid almost double the accommodation cost as a deposit, and got it back.
