Frankó Tanya Vendégház

The grounds are huge, with lots of ways to spend time there, and the setting is beautiful. We’ve been bringing our big family back every summer for ten years. It works really well for both children and older people, and I’d recommend it to anglers too :)

The tub could have been a bit warmer, but that was the only thing we’d change. We stayed for a week and were happy with everything else.

The house and the surroundings are beautiful, and we even saw deer in the garden. The sauna worked well, and the kitchen had plenty of equipment. There was some rubbish at the edge of the plot, though, and overall the stay was a letdown. Maybe we were just unlucky, but I can’t recommend it. We were told the tub would be warm when we arrived, but it still hadn’t heated up by the time we left after two nights. Two downstairs bedrooms had no heating, and the living room was cold as well. The owner came by several times and we told him about the main issues. He said he’d sort them out, but somehow didn’t manage to. Before we left home, he said he couldn’t come out just then. There wasn’t dry firewood for the barbecue. What we got was mostly uncovered, compost-like wood chips and shavings. The fuses tripped several times, the foosball table was poor quality, and one of the downstairs toilets had an awful smell the whole time.

It’s a peaceful, beautiful spot for nature lovers, with genuinely friendly hospitality. We found it great for relaxing, and it could also work nicely for a family outing. I’d happily recommend Frankó Tanya.
