Wyndham Garden Kuta Bali

The manager who handled things was good, some guy, but that was about the only bright spot. I’m very disappointed with the Wyndham brand. The hotel is old, and although this used to be a tourist area, it has changed over the years. The beach out front is plain awful and covered in rubbish. The room wasn’t worth the price. The air conditioner leaked badly, the TV remote had no batteries, and the toilet paper wasn’t replenished. Shampoo and body wash seemed to be switched, and the product was so heavily perfumed that I worried using it for a few days would ruin my hair. A large gap by the balcony window let rain in and blew the curtain around, making the room hot. The water was salty and had black particles in it. Hot water was only there if you were lucky, and the pillowcase was yellow.

The staff were a huge help when my rental car got a flat tire. We had a very good stay, with a big, cozy room and a nice pool. The hospitality was top-notch. We’ll definitely come back for a family vacation. ❤️

The location is great, the rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable enough. We had rooms by the pool, which made it nice to sneak in a late swim while the kids were asleep. Still, after staying at plenty of Wyndham and other hotels around Bali, this one fell short of what we expected. In my room the shower didn’t work, and the AC thermostat only seemed to offer freezing cold or very hot. The shower worked in our family’s second room, but its AC leaked over the suitcase platform and soaked clothes. Wi-Fi didn’t reach the rooms, so it was hard to catch up on work while the kids slept. Breakfast was below average, and room service food was horrible. It was also hard to explain all this to reception, whose English was less fluent than we’re used to in Bali. The hotel has potential, but we won’t plan to return unless things improve a lot.

The sea view I’d pictured when I booked a balcony room came true as soon as we arrived. The staff were polite, helpful, kind, and nice. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed, and I’ll come back if I’m in Denpasar again.
