Champlung Sari Hotel and Spa Ubud

The location is awesome, right in the heart of town, with restaurants and shops just a few minutes' walk away. We stayed in a very large, clean private villa with its own pool, and had one of our best experiences in Ubud. The staff were wonderful, especially Putu, Dayu, Fiska and KM Adi. Darma and Ayu were great at reception, too. Wayan and Bunga gave us a massage unlike anything we've had before. Anyone staying here should try it. Breakfast was okay, could have been a bit better, but I can't complain. I couldn't have asked for anything better. Just love it.

Darma, Ayu and Suarna were very helpful, and breakfast was great. The room was huge, and you can see monkeys around the property for most of the day since the hotel is right next to the monkey forest. My only complaint is that there weren't any power outlets near the desk.

The villa was luxurious and clean, and the private pool was amazing. We got to lounge around, relax and watch the monkeys. The breakfast buffet was so good, and the staff made us feel like family. Gus deserves a shout-out: he suggested lots of cool local places to visit that weren't overrun with tourists, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. There are monkeys, yes! Just don't make eye contact or bother them, and they're endless entertainment, better than any telenovella. If you're staying in Ubud, do yourself a favor and book this great place.

Right on the main street, yet it felt like an oasis by the pool. The monkeys kept us entertained, but the best part was how attentive everyone was. Dhama and her front desk team made sure nothing was a problem, while Juni and the restaurant crew were lovely and kept us fed and watered. Nothing was too much trouble.
