We loved this as our first place in Bali. The bungalows are basic, but they had pretty much everything we needed. The pool isn't large, though it was fine for cooling off after a walk around Ubud. Monkey Forest is about ten minutes away on foot, as is Ubud Palace, and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby, some with live music. Our room was clean, with a TV and a bathroom connected to the main room. The windows are half open, so keep mosquitoes and gekkos in mind. The staff were friendly and helpful. They sometimes keep monkeys away with a BB gun, not a real one, of course 😉. Breakfast was simple but nice. You can pick things like eggs on bread, a banana or dragonfruit smoothie, fried rice or noodles, plus fresh juice and coffee. A great way to start the day. We also loved seeing the monkeys when they visited and got some good photos, but they're still wild animals. Don't get in their way or leave things like shoes on the balcony. Those rascals like to play with them!

Tucked back from the street, the apartment stays pleasantly quiet, even though you're very close to Ubud's charming Monkey Forest Street. It's an authentic place in a peaceful spot, and the rooms are fine, though bathroom water pressure can be low at times. The space isn't especially large, which seems fair for the price. The people running it are kind and helpful, and the service is fantastic. Nothing feels like too much trouble. For a very reasonable rate, I think it's a great place to stay and would recommend it.

The hotel sits beside a stream, with a little jungle across from it. It's peaceful and cool, especially in the morning, and there's a pool shallow enough for children. The room had the essentials, including a socket, electric kettle, toothbrush, and toothpaste. Finding the entrance from outside wasn't easy, but once I reached the hotel, the walk and navigation felt worth it. Breakfast early in the morning was amazing. There weren't many servants, but they were friendly and always ready to help with things like renting a motorbike, electrical maintenance, or directions.

The staff made my two weeks here really special. They were always smiling, attentive, and genuinely caring. I had great conversations with Dewa C, too, thank you! My room was spacious, the pool was amazing, and the atmosphere was peaceful. It felt like home. If I return to Ubud, I'll absolutely stay here again. Thank you from the heart 🙏

The pool was nice, and the balcony kept everything dry during the rainstorms. Breakfast for 60k was adequate and convenient, instead of having to look around for something at a similar price. We chose cheaper accommodation, so I think it was okay for what we paid, though they should fix the hot water. Our family room on the second level overlooked the pool and had plenty of space, with two double beds and okay mattresses. Water pressure was poor and we had no hot water for the whole stay. The room was hot anyway, so it wasn't too much of an issue, but room 22 has no hot water if you like a hot shower. Take earplugs if you need quiet to sleep. Nearby bars had bands playing loudly nearly every night, a mix of 90s cover band and punk band. I put in my earplugs and went to sleep, though trying to guess the songs was distracting. There are no blackout curtains either, so bring an eye mask for a really dark room. Some reviews mention black bits on the sheets. I think it's dust falling from the bungalow roof, which is very dusty. Toward the end of the stay, both of us had hayfever from the dust. The ceiling is old-style woven, so anyone with allergies might want to stay elsewhere. Convenience stores are very close, and while most eateries have expensive tourist prices, there are a few local Warung on the street. It's easy to get Grab or Gojek, or walk up to the palace markets.
