The mold in the room affected our chests very quickly, and after sleeping there for one night we woke up with bites all over our bodies. This felt extremely unsafe, and I would give no stars if I could. Maybe it was a great stay when the place first opened, but it hasn’t been maintained and is simply unlivable now. Please don’t stay here.

Two European women arrived this week with a booking and payment already made through OYO. Antara and OYO had a booking contract, but it ended a couple of months ago and customers apparently haven’t been told. The women had coordinated before arrival, and this wasn’t a last minute reservation. Still, late in the afternoon, after traveling from Ubud tired and visibly upset, they were asked by the owner and staff to pay in full again. They didn’t want to pay twice for something already booked and paid for, and no compassion or solution was offered. Antara blamed OYO and said it wasn’t their problem, even though OYO would already have taken its commission and sent Antara the booking details and money. To me, it looked like the owners and management were trying to scam people. Shame on them. This place doesn’t deserve one star. When dealing with tourists, the owner, management, and staff also need better English skills. They either really couldn’t communicate properly or were acting dumb after being caught out. The property has changed names a few times over the past decade, and it’s clear why. Stay away. There are plenty of other nice, cheap places that deserve your business.

The location is down a narrow, one lane alley, and cars or vans may have trouble finding it. We arrived with an Agoda confirmation and had coordinated with the property beforehand, but they said they no longer worked with Agoda. It was a waste of time and money. Avoid booking here if you can.

For the same guesthouse price, you could find somewhere better. We stayed 3 nights, but there was no privacy and the place was badly maintained. The towels and toilet were dirty, and the pool water was dirty too. WiFi was unreliable. Breakfast was standard, and I found a hair in it. Hahaha... hope they fix all these issues.
