Hotel Oranjje

I booked through Agoda for my husband's and my birthdays. The rate looked low, and we assumed it was because the accommodation didn’t have Wi-Fi. It turned out to be a human error and the price was lower than it should have been. They should be checking their prices regularly. I don’t think the hotel is worth the rate they’re asking now, and the reviews reflect that too.

Nice hall with a swimming pool.

The bed was clean and comfortable, the only good thing about the room. There was no Wi-Fi or hot water, even though both were listed in the room description. Just one socket, tucked far under the table and nowhere near the bed. The bathtub was dirty, and there was limescale and rust all over the bathroom. The room smelled unpleasant.

We left at sunrise after a sleepless night, disappointed and exhausted. The place was filthy, with spiders and webs, ants, cockroaches and lizards seemingly everywhere. The pool wasn’t clean, and breakfast was extremely poor. There was a nasty toilet smell as well as a damp, humid odor, and moisture was affecting the walls. The staff wore their own clothes instead of uniforms, which didn’t seem professional. It’s listed as a three-star hotel, but it didn’t feel like one. I wouldn’t recommend it.
