Sunday Hotel Arshika Sunset Road

My partner arrived at night in Bali for the first time, with a prepaid booking I'd made through Agoda. I chose the hotel because it was “Agoda-Preferred,” but they refused to check him in, saying there were no rooms available. He was left stranded, with no alternative offered, and the staff didn't seem to care about the distress they caused. If the hotel has upper management, they need to look into this. This was a scam and a disgrace to Balinese hospitality. Zero professionalism. Avoid it.

A pretty good hotel for a family trip, with a big room and a big swimming pool. I liked the restaurant, and the staff were so nice and helpful 🥰

I arrived tired after a long flight at around 9:00 PM (21:00), only to be told at reception that they couldn't give me the room because of an “AC issue.” I'd booked and fully prepaid through Agoda, and the hotel hadn't contacted me beforehand, so I only learned it was cancelled when I got there late at night. I asked for any other room they could possibly offer, but the staff refused to help or find a solution. They just told me to get a refund from Agoda and go somewhere else. Nobody at the front desk even apologized for their mistake or the huge inconvenience. They seemed indifferent and completely unhelpful. This was the most unhelpful, unprofessional reception staff I've encountered in any country. Leaving a fully paid guest stranded late at night is unacceptable. Avoid this hotel. A disgrace to Balinese hospitality.

We first booked one night, then extended it to three. Everything was good overall, though some small ants bothered us a bit.
