Abdi Fantastik

The room was humid, though the AC helped. We never really felt clean after being in there, and the accommodation wasn’t a highlight of the trip. It was rainy season, so visibility for snorkelling or diving was limited and the location didn’t turn out to be much of a plus. It looked well placed, but we found it too far from the good restaurants and bars. The room looked tidy at a glance, but once we had the keys it felt like a mistake. There was a half-used shampoo and conditioner bottle, left open with its cap off, in the shower. The toilet was extremely gross, and the light made that obvious. There was no toilet paper or towels in the room. After sitting down to use the bathroom, we realised and my boyfriend had to ask staff for them. He came back with two damp towels that smelled of mold. The bathroom floor is all tile, so getting out of the shower and onto slippery tiles with no bath rug was annoying, especially with the wet, moldy towel smell. We used one of our own towels on the floor to dry our feet and had to share the same wet towel for the trip. There were no hand towels or bath rugs anywhere in sight. There was also a dried blood stain in one corner of the duvet cover. It wasn’t the worst place ever, but it left us both feeling gross and damp for the whole stay.
