I can’t say anything about staying at the resort since I didn’t stay there. I did eat at the Kura Kura resort restaurant, though, and really enjoyed the chicken satay. The dining area was clean, with a view toward Gili Air right by the port. Service was friendly and great too. I’d definitely recommend the restaurant.

The woman with glasses was so kind when we asked about boat prices. Someone on the street had tried to scam us, and she explained what was going on and told us where to go instead. The staff were all friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. Totally recommend!

Being right next to the harbour made getting here from the boat an easy walk, and Kura Kura was fantastic. The island has very little to do, so it’s definitely somewhere to relax. The pool area stayed quiet and peaceful, and we kept entertained at the bar with the pool table and new dart board. Our room was really spacious, with a big bathroom and smart TV. Best of all, the AC goes down to 16 degrees. It’s right on the beachfront too, which is great.

The room was musty, the floor felt sticky, and the furniture was old and stained. Around the pool, it was filthy, with ripped chairs and rusty parts. The whole resort felt neglected for years, and basic maintenance and cleanliness were way below what they should be. The online photos were completely misleading compared with the dirty, run-down place we found at Kura Kura Resort in Gili Meno. My girlfriend and I have travelled quite a bit in Southeast Asia, and this was the worst-maintained place we’d stayed. The beach right outside is rocky and unpleasant for swimming, and it’s a long walk to the nicer spots on Gili Meno, so the location wasn’t good either. The staff had an attitude from the moment we arrived. When we politely raised some problems, they were defensive and rude. There was no hospitality or professionalism. This was honestly the worst accommodation of our whole Indonesia trip. It’s not worth it, since there are many better places on the island for the same price, with cleaner rooms, friendlier staff, and better locations.
