Dede met me at the jetty, but the walk to the homestay was pretty far when I was carrying my 20kg luggage. The bedroom was okay, although it didn't match the listing and had no windows. It kept out about 90% of the morning prayer noise. I could still hear it faintly, but the aircon was probably louder. Dede explained that the advertised homestay had been damaged in a recent earthquake and was being renovated, and he gave me free bicycle rental as compensation. That was very nice of him. The toilet was huge, but it wasn't attached to the bedroom, and the property's main door couldn't be locked from inside. Ani and Watan were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was nice, especially the banana pancake, and the place felt safe and peaceful. There was a minimart next door with cheap prices compared with elsewhere: 1.5l drinking water cost IDR 6k. The fried rice across from the minimart was cheap at IDR2k, with a very generous portion. I ate there twice. It was a good place to stay.

The cottages each have one king size bed and one extra bed. The place is cozy, about 200m from the front beach. Staff are helpful, and you can get a cheap bicycle rental too.

My husband booked two rooms through a booking application, but when we arrived they weren't ready. They asked us to pay more because they wanted to sell the rooms at a higher price for New Year's Eve.

The local people were really friendly. The room was clean and cozy, good quality for the price, and not too far from the main road.
