Nice Place To Stay

A nice apartment, set a little away from Bali’s manic traffic.

I booked for a week and ended up staying two months. I’ve traveled a lot, including two years in the Caribbean, three in the Middle East, and four months in Bali before finding this place. I’m easy to please, but I also have certain expectations, and this spot exceeded them all. I’m in Zambia now, but if I’m back in Bali and they’ll have me, this is the only place I’ll stay. It’s new, well built, and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of space and some nice extras. The photos are accurate, though a few don’t quite show how good it is, and some areas are bigger than they look. I stayed in three different rooms and loved them all, even though each had its own slight differences. Free water dispensers, working knives and fridges, lovely cups, huge showers, and big comfortable beds. The showers are almost too big. The basics are all good too: great cleaning and laundry service, fast internet, nice tables to work at, comfortable chairs, sofas and cushions you can lounge on, and lighting that lets you chill instead of just switching everything on or off. It was quiet, and I never heard other guests. It felt safe, even by Bali standards. If I wanted a small apartment in New York, I might ask them to design and build it. The team really makes the place. Bali is friendly, but these guys nail it. It felt more like staying in someone’s big home than in a building full of suites or flats. Arin, Hans, and Rahmat are genuine, lovely people. Any request or issue, and there weren’t many, was handled, often with extra effort. The neighborhood is cute, with lots of interior design shops, though there isn’t really anywhere to get coffee nearby. You’ll need a scooter to get to places. Seminyak is a scooter ride away, and Canguu is about 20 minutes. Canguu is nice for the action, but you get a lot more for your money and genuine quality here if you’re happy to commute. Best, Ian

The location isn’t the best, but I loved the place and the staff. It’s great if you want to work from the hotel, with a comfortable conference room that’s usually empty. The staff were very friendly, helped with everything, and answered all my questions. That was especially important during Nyepi. I have only good memories. Thank you!

A really great place, with lovely interiors and wonderful staff. It’s centrally located on a street lined with local handicraft shops, so it’s nice to stroll around and look for unique souvenirs. The rooftop balcony is a perfect spot to hang out and watch the sunset.
