We found it safe, comfortable, and quite adequate for what we needed. The place is simple and comfortable, with nice staff and very adequate facilities. There isn't a pool, and there is a bit of road noise. It's well situated if you don't mind a short walk to the beach, and there are lots of eateries nearby. You can easily find more upmarket places.

The villa itself was fine, and Kultur warung across the road is an excellent place to eat. But I had $1000 and my passport stolen by a cleaner. Made the owner didn't seem to care, even though we knew who'd done it: she was the only cleaner working that day, and she was new. The safe had been broken for over two weeks, though we'd had no problems before. He took me to a police station outside the area where he had friends, so of course they did nothing either. We also caught four massive mice with traps. To be fair, the place is next to a field, so I can't really blame them for that. Made the owner isn't trustworthy. He completely covered for his employee despite the evidence.

I could feel the Bali nature around the house. What a nicely designed place! The villa on the second floor has its own yard, and it feels peaceful and beautiful. Great service.
