It was quiet, set back from the road, with some good places to eat within 150 metres, especially the Italian restaurant. The main area of Seminyak wasn't far, and the location and service were great. The place was clean but outdated and could use some tender loving care. Lots of little things were overlooked, though fixing them would probably mean paying more. The pool had too much chlorine and bleached our swimwear. The furniture was old, and the baths in both bedrooms were so off-putting that we wouldn't use them. Breakfast choices were the same every day and weren't great.

The pool was large and refreshing, and it's a quiet spot with amenities a short walk away. Our two-bedroom villa was bigger than it looked online. Each bathroom had a bath, double sink, and indoor and outdoor showers. Sound carried between villas and could be better insulated, and the kitchen wasn't fully equipped. Still, with Seminyak right there, who needs more than the basics?

The room was a decent size, but this one star is only for the rip-off service. The pool filter wasn't working, so they were putting in lots of chlorine, and I didn't want to use it. There were no shower niches, so I put the shower gel on a knob and it broke. They charged me $25 AUD. I understand that I should pay for it, but that amount doesn't seem justified. A complete rip-off.

At Nunia Boutique Villas in Seminyak, we had a beautiful stay in a private villa with a peaceful atmosphere. It's also well placed for great dining and shopping nearby. The staff were warm and attentive, and made everything easy.

The villa was spacious and really clean, and the pool was spotless too. I was very happy with the place itself. Breakfast was the letdown: it arrived on time, but it was always cold, and the toast was stale and tough. We started eating elsewhere instead. I'd rather have a lower rate without breakfast.
