The place was clean, but not quite hotel standard. For me, three stars means standard, not bad. There were lots of ants and some other insects, though I can't complain given the environment. It's a two-story villa: downstairs is a living room with one two-seat sofa, a kitchen, and a bathroom with a clean-enough bathtub and hot water. The pan and spatula had mold, so we didn't use them. Upstairs is a bedroom with a king-size bed. There are two TVs, one on each floor, but the remotes had no batteries and we weren't watching anyway. There were four pillows. No soap in either the kitchen or bathroom, so bring your own. You have to ask for mineral water and breakfast options, which are just bread or fried rice. Light sleepers probably shouldn't stay here: around 10 PM, the neighbor's dog and rooster start loudly “talking to each other” until morning.

The place itself was lovely: clean, nicely decorated, newly built, with a kitchen, bathtub, and a good view. The catch was the neighbor who seemed to have just bought a karaoke machine. Every day while I was there, he started his mini concerts around 4 or 5 PM and sang until midnight. He sounded awful. If you’re a light sleeper or turn in early, that noise might make you think twice about booking.

The lake-facing room felt like a townhouse over two floors, with a kitchen and an upstairs patio. It looked recently remodeled and was very clean. They’d arranged fresh flowers and towels in a heart on the bed, and there were TVs both upstairs and down. Breakfast came included, at whatever time you wanted, and checkout was at 12 rather than 11. Amazing place, highly recommend it!

From the upstairs terrace, you get a great look at Mount Batur volcano and Lake Batur. The accommodation is a modern apartment spread over two floors, with the living area and kitchen below and a huge king-bed bedroom above. Breakfast was lovely and free. Kedisan gem. I’ll definitely be back.

A general store is within walking distance, and the location is handy if you’re heading to Trunyan, mt. Batur hiking, or the natural hotspring, especially if you have a vehicle. The place is cozy and comfortable, and fairly clean. I’d happily stay again, highly recommended.
