It felt like home, and the location is convenient. The price was really affordable, and my room was comfortable and clean. The host, kimoto-san, was friendly, and Mr. Maika was very accommodating. There was no curfew, so I could go out and get food whenever I wanted. What more could I ask for?
Cixwah was the highlight for us. He’s warm and easy to talk to, and we later found out on Instagram that he’s a skilled surfer and something of a local celebrity. His little half-Japanese son Manoa is an adorable darling too, and my friends and I had a great time there. The guesthouse is in Legian, on Dewi Street, with local grocery shops right nearby and restaurants serving local food along the street. If that food’s too spicy, McD is about half a kilometre away. Legian beach is roughly one kilometre away if you know the way, and it’s good for surfing. The popular party spots are only a couple of kilometres away. For the low price, the rooms are spacious, clean and airy, and the bathrooms are roomy and well kept. You get the basics, including TV, AC and hot water, plus a pretty little pool. It’s better than other budget hotels I’ve stayed in, and exactly what a traveler needs.
Great room, and there’s a minimarket nearby. Indra's Nasi Tempong restaurant is close too.
