Both villas were great, and we’d definitely come back. Villa Darma was clean, spacious and well cared for, with lovely staff and good shared spaces for spending time with family or friends. We also spent some time at Villa Alam, two villas down and run by the same company. It felt a little fancier and more beautiful, with water features, a big outdoor barbecue area, comfier lounges, a grander dining table, more manicured lawns and a spare toilet. It was similarly priced. It had one fewer bedroom, so we couldn’t book it, but I’d recommend it if you can.

The Villa Bugis team made our stay at Villa Darma a great one, from the smooth booking to the daily housekeeping. They were always helpful, shared local recommendations and made sure we were comfortable. We also enjoyed the breakfast they prepared in the villa each morning. Villa Darma is on Jalan Drupadi, close to Seminyak’s ‘Eat Street’ and its range of restaurants and designer boutiques. There are five spacious, spotless bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, decorated with a mix of modern comforts and traditional Balinese style. The private pool and tropical gardens made for a peaceful place to relax. A luxurious, convenient stay in the heart of Seminyak.

We were nine in the family and had plenty of room. The pool was huge and a welcome break from the heat. Such a beautiful villa, with amazing staff and generous breakfasts every day.

We spent a wonderful week at Villa Darma and would certainly return. It was peaceful to sit by the pool, and the comfortable rooms made it easy to settle in. The staff were very helpful and recommended restaurants and arranged transport. There are plenty of good restaurants close by, and the beach is an easy walk.
